The desk of the Swiss publisher EGON AMMANN! Well known to the architect and designer Hans Eichenberger and the furniture manufacturer TEO JAKOB, EGON AMMANN had the desk manufactured in the mid-1960s. Hans Eichenberger has doubled his table frame around a stand to carry the solid walnut plate and Teo Jakob, the famous manufacturer from Bern, produced the furniture. From his Swiss days, Egon Ammann knew the walnut tree in the Emmenthal, which supplied the wood for the solid, 4.5 cm thick plate. The desk bears the traces of its publisher, editor and writer activity. Many books have been discussed and cigarettes smoked on this furniture and it shows the traces of this eventful life. The plate we have only slightly cleaned and oiled.
