Special Remarks:
few signs of use. This ash chair set is simple and clear in construction, and of high quality in production. The furniture shows only minor signs of wear, and a few minor blemishes in the clear varnish had to be touched up. Ash wood has a special characteristic: exposure to light gives the rather pale wood an intense honey tone. The seating configuration is interesting: the armchair served the head of the household, while the family sat on the simple chairs. The stool was only used when necessary. Despite its age, the furniture still functions very well.

about this Object:
We are offering this elegant yet practical ashwood furniture from a private collection. The ensemble has survived in the previous owners' household for over 60 years, provided it was treated with care. In terms of form and materials, the ensemble is somewhat reminiscent of Charlotte Perriand's "Chalet" chairs. Her designs were highly influential; internationally acclaimed, they inspired many modern manufacturers of their time. The table bears a brand mark on the bottom of the crossbar: a maple leaf with two horizontal notches. The chairs are offered here as a complete six-piece set: four chairs, one armchair, and one stool.
