|about this Item:||Alvar Aalto designed this chair, which is still produced today, in 1932. We offer two pieces of pre-war production.
The chair consists of two structurally stressed arm and leg parts and a seat-unit of bent plywood. The simplicity of the design elements conveys the essential thought-out design in an excellent manner. This chair has everything it needs and nothing it does not need. The contrast of the clear side panels designed for the organically curved seat unit is the classic beauty of this chair, which characterizes design excellence.
The chair is "roomy" and comfortable, light and even stackable. The chair is still produced by Artek in Helsinki.
Please note that we provide the two chairs separately.
