|about this Item:||
Almost immediately after launch in 1956 the armchair PK 22 by Poul Kjaerholm was successful in sales. It marks a turning point in Danish furniture design of this time, since the first time the same care was used in the processing a steel furniture as with wooden furniture. This was a revolution and was extremely ambivalent taken by the critics. Like no other furniture of his time the PK 22 marked the turning point in reduced sculptural interior. Even today, this furniture is perceived as modern and can be bought in a new version by Fritz Hansen.
We offer here a rare original version in museum conservation.
