The Peill company had been producing glass bodies in Düren since 1903, especially for petroleum lamps at that time. In 1947, the Peill company merged with the Putzler company to form the Peill und Putzler GmbH and primarily produced glass bodies for all conceivable forms of luminaires. Wilhelm Wagenfeld can be named as one of the outstanding designers who have designed numerous lamps for Peill and Putzler. Peill and Putzler was closed in 2004, but some lamp types continue to be produced by other companies.
Our wall or ceiling lamp is unused and the shade can be removed by turning it in the bayonet.
