The design desideratum of the 1960s from Germany: The BRAUN Weltempfänger by Dieter Rams from 1963. Everyone wanted to own it, but very few could afford the device. The middle of the 1960s was the time of rebuilding and renewal, only money was scarce for most of them. So you pressed your nose flat on the window of the radio shops, after all, the world receiver from Braun was the top device of its time and offered a tech-savvy audience design but also function and a variety of enhancements.
