The well-known designer Wilhelm Kienzle designed this box in 1937, which was also available as a shoe polish box. Our specimen is safely produced in the 1960s and has had 50 years of careful use in a Swiss household. The Kienzle tool box is rightly to be understood as a contribution to a culturally developed household. It gives the utensils a portable container, whereby the fold-out lids function as shelves.
