about this Object:
This beautiful chimney clock with an elaborate marble case was designed by Leon Hatot, Paris, in the style of the French ART DECO. The well-known jeweler designed the electromechanical drive and had the movements produced under his own name. Hatot sold the clocks and jewelry through its branches in Paris. In 1926 he sold the drive principle to Junghans in the Black Forest, who launched their own watches under the JUNGHANS ATO brand in 1935. Our example here comes from the original production and is produced with a wonderful, real marble housing. The clock runs with a 1.5 volt mono cell, but is too fast.
