about this Object:

The well-known designer Wilhelm Kienzle designed this box in 1937, which was also available as a tool box. Our specimen is safely produced in the 1960s and has had 50 years of careful use in a Swiss household. If you search today, the Acessoire shoe polish box is almost no longer available, regardless of which manufacturer or in what form. The Kienzle shoe polish box is rightly to be understood as a contribution to a culturally developed household. It gives the utensils a portable container, whereby the fold-out lids function as shelves.
