mit wenigen Gebrauchsspuren. Wirklich rar sind die frühen Entwürfe von Charles und Ray Eames. Optisch ist das Radio gut erhalten, empfangen kann man wenig, auch braucht das Gerät ein Transformator Vorschaltgerät, ist es doch, wie in USA üblich, auf 110 Volt 60 Hertz ausgelegt.

At the beginning of their work as architects / designers, the Eames couple also took on a contract for the US military. For the manufacturer EVANS you designed a universal leg splint, the LEGSPLINT. This collaboration resulted in further designs made of curved wood, including the radio chassis for the company EMERSON, the type 588 A, manufactured by Evans in 1946. The flowing shapes of the seating furniture in the designs by Eames in the 1950s made of curved plywood are used in the radio housing here in advance.
