Rose Kurtzke, born in 1919, lived in Berlin and was a painter, calligrapher and costume designer. Her works were exhibited at the "Great Berlin Art Exhibition" in 1958, 1959 and 1961. She also worked as a book illustrator in the children's book sector. The work offered here is painted with a broad stroke, freely and entirely in the style of her time.
