about this Object:
The well-known ceramist and artist Helmut Friedrich Schäffenacker in Ulm was the creator of this special vase. A light diamond shape, freely formed, decorated with amorphous black shapes, contrasted with white lines in coarser ruling, which is vaguely reminiscent of the drawing of a giraffe. The lines on the outside are burned in, as is the full glaze on the inside. Schäffenacker came from a family of artists and was able to look back on a fulfilled and productive life when he died at the age of 89. The vase we offer comes from his early period and is not a series product.
