Jochen Ihle was a very closely observing animal sculptor and breeder of noble Arabian horses. Here we offer 3 reliefs in a classic naturalistic representation of his estate, which later served as a template for bronze casts. The depiction of his revered horses is true to detail, their character is clearly in the lovingly turned figure. These are unique pieces from the artist's possession; more than 10 years after their creation, the Kunstgiesserei Lange in Hannover produced 2 unfinished castings each in bronze.
