Description:

This limited edition of the Musem Watch by N.G. Horwitt was released for the 75th BAUHAUS anniversary. BAUHAUS was founded in Weimar in 1919, so in 1994 MOVADO in Switzerland took the opportunity to launch this limited special edition of the Museumwatch in an elaborate box in BAUHAUS colors. The Museum Watch was designed by the American designer Horwitt in 1947 and reduces the concept of the watch to the essentials. Against a black background, 2 simple hands move for minutes and hours, only the large gold-plated circle at 12 sets an orientation. This brilliant design was also added the MOMA in New York to its collection. Our piece is mechanically driven, a refined ETA Cal. 7001 shows up under the gold-plated back cover. We offer the number 0891 from 1919 copies. Our piece is very well preserved and comes with the original leather strap and, as far as we know, with all the documents related to the watch: information, guarantee certificate, etc. The watch shows hardly any signs of wear, the original film is still glued to the back.
