Description:
The ZENITH EL PRIMERO movement Cal. 3019 PHC was the first automatic chronograph movement in watch history. Zenith in Le Locle only produced this movement from 1969 to 1976. After that it was over again, if it hadn't been for the Swiss manufacturer ROLEX, who was looking for a suitable movement for his Daytona. From 1988 - 2000 ROLEX switched a slightly modified ZENIT Cal. 3019 PHC in its Daytona models. Clear proof of the high quality of the Zenith movement, with a double-ended tungsten carbide rotor, a very unique design that is extremely robust and reliable. It is also worth mentioning that the Cal. 3019 PHC oscillates at 36,000 vibrations per minute, making it one of the so-called high-speed vibrators in watch history. Our ZENITH El Primero BIG BLUE comes from a very well-kept private collection. The watch has been checked by our watchmaker and cleaning is currently not necessary, the watch has perfect rate values with a very good amplitude of the unrest. Such pieces, after all 50 years old, in a neat, untouched original condition with accessories are very rare today. Rare and valuable originals are also very popular today as an investment opportunity!
