Description:
A wonderful desk object from JAEGER, the French branch for instruments by the Swiss company Jaeger Le Coultre. Manufactured around 1950 and similar in design to a table clock, the precision instrument offers the following options: In the center there is a scale for altitude above sea level, followed by the scale for the air pressure in milibar, with the hand-adjustable pointer for the previous day's reading the trend. Finally, the small scale above the base shows the temperature in Celsius. The materials used are of high quality, as can be expected from this manufacturer, the front, ground mineral glass pane is drilled in the middle to set the pointer of the previous day's value. It is printed with the gold-colored central field from behind. All other scales are printed on the rear disc, but inside, so that the print is protected against abrasion. The rear instrument housing is covered with black shrink lacquer, the rear labeling of the operating instructions is intact. The condition can be said to be good to very good. The device is fully functional.
