Description:
The Glashütte watch companies have existed in Glashütte in Saxony since 1951 and were the watch manufacturers of the GDR. Back on the market in 1990, now with Swiss plants from ETA. This watch comes from this first production after the fall of the Wall, equipped with a good Swiss automatic movement. The exterior design is sporty, the black dial looks like a pilot's watch. The remaining parts probably come from Glashütte production and were also reassembled there. Overall, the watch has little signs of wear and is very seldom to be found on the market today in this condition. Such watches are shown at Kurt Herkner Glashütte wristwatches, Volume II from page 206 onwards. A rare piece of Glashütte watch history and extremely interesting for the collector of Glashütte watches.
